OUR MISSION
It is the mission of Insectum to develop and deliver profitable, sustainable, scalable and impactful insect technology solutions that strengthen and improve food, feed, and waste systems worldwide. We aim to enable a global network of partners to transform organic waste into high-value protein, fat, and organic fertiliser thus keeping the waste out of landfills and fostering circular economies that provide essential inputs to food and feed production.
OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Kristian Scheef Madsen. Chairman of the board. Kristian Scheef Madsen has +20 years of C level leadership experience. He has worked as CEO for McDonald’s, Lagkagehuset, Sunset Boulevard and Vapiano Nordic. Kristian holds a Bachelor in International Marketing from Copenhagen Business School and has served as an officer in the Royal Danish Guards.
Jens Bøgild. Board member. Educated farmer with 30 years experience of scaling and managing large agricultural businesses. Owner of Rugballegaard A/S, DanGrow A/S and Yding Grønt A/S.
Karen Timling. Board member. Cand.med.vet from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University. Senior manager at Eurofins Steins, former QA and R&D manager at Vital Petfood Group, former veterinary inspector and official veterinarian. Vast experience with the development of pet food and in depth knowledge of legislation and quality control in relation to feed and food production.
David Munk-Bogballe. Managing director and board member. BA in International Business from the European School of Economics and MSc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences from the London School of Economics.
Jørgen Hestholm. Special advisor. Educated farmer and soldier. Background as independent crop and pig farmer.
